English Composition (Arizona State University)
English composition requires four years of study to complete 120 credit hours. This course seeks to equip students with the tools necessary to succeed as a writer, editor, publisher or copywriter. Coursework includes extensive practice writing in a variety of situations, from poetry and creative writing to technical writing and web content development.

English composition students feel prepared to start careers as editors, teachers, creative writers, technical writers and translators. Combine writing courses with relevant electives from literature and linguistics to broaden your understanding of the English language.
Coursework includes a wide range of writing courses, historical background, social studies and other areas of language study and social sciences to equip students with the tools they need to analyze texts, engage in critical reading and compose new works in a variety of media.
