Dance (Arizona State University)
Dance your way to a bachelor's degree at Arizona State University. Through the undergraduate programs offered at the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts, students interested in furthering their dance education and skills have the chance to earn either a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in four years. The 120-credit program includes courses on dance theory, technical choreography and dance education.
Students can choose one of three undergraduate degrees including a BA in movement and performance, a BFA in dance and a BFA in dance for purposes of education. All three tracks can adequately prepare candidates with a well-rounded and diverse curriculum that they can build to suit their aspirations. Some of the course instruction includes topics such as musical theater, urban arts, dance culture, choreography and theoretical movement. ASU strives to offer the most relevant course selection so students can be prepared to follow their chosen career path upon graduation.
ASU's academic programs are spread across campuses in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area; however, unlike most multi-campus institutions, the campuses of ASU are all individually different- each has its own distinct function to fulfill in line with the university's mission.Read more About this school
