Computer Information Systems (Arizona State University)
The computer information systems program is a four-year Bachelor of Science within the School of Business at Arizona State University. The course of study focuses on project management, distributed systems, business intelligence, data management, solution development and enterprise integration. The program focuses on helping students transform modern business decisions and operations through workflow redesign, value creation, competitive advantage, globalization, collaboration, decision-making and synergy.
Students use learned skills to support decision making of mangers and business operations through information systems. Students learn to maintain, design and build those systems. The focused curriculum facilitates student learning so that they can help organizations successfully sustain and grow. Accelerated 2.5- and 3-year programs are available to fast-track the educational experience without losing the quality of the dedicated faculty.
Graduates go on to work in a variety of industries, often potentially reaching the highest C-level executive positions in businesses. Advanced education in business and computer study is the next step for many graduates.
