The Literature Bachelor of Arts curriculum includes a variety of topics suited to any literary career path, as well as your choice of four career-oriented specializations. Students will be immersed in a variety of written works spanning the life of the language, from ancient Britain to modern America. A variety of cultural works of literature are also included, with surveys in African, Asian, and South American topics.
The degree typically takes four years to complete and includes 120 credit hours of coursework in both general education and major-specific subjects. Formal admission to the program also requires approval of the department of literature and a 2.00 GPA on a four-point scale.
