American River College
School Description
The roots of the college date back to 1942 as Grant Union Junior College, which in 1945 became Grant Technical College. In 1965, the institute became a part of Los Rios Community College District and the name was changed to its present name, 'American River College'. The college grew in infrastructure throughout 1970s and 80s, The expansion did not stop after that and the college has grown into one of the largest community colleges in the state.
