In order to gain entry to medical school, most students are required to take Calculus I and II, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and an English composition course during their undergraduate studies. A bachelor’s degree in any subject is required, but many schools give preference to non-science majors. An examination that measures an individual’s understanding of science called the MCAT, is also required for entry.
