Convenient campus location

University of Bradford’s campus is small, friendly and only a few minutes away from the city center. Student Central is where all the students gravitate toward as it is the home of the University of Bradford Union of Students (UBU) and offers excellent on-site student support services. From a campus shop to a student cinema and bars and entertainment, you can find it all at Student Central.  

The university’s sporting facilities are top-notch, complete with a newly furnished Sports Park, a gym, swimming pool and a sports hall. And though the campus is located centrally in the city, there are many open, green spaces all around due to the university’s green initiatives. The campus also has a theater, gallery, music center and numerous student-led societies and clubs covering all kinds of interests.

If it is the great outdoors that you appreciate most, Bradford will not disappoint. The city is surrounded by thousands of miles of woods, lakes and mountains and not one, but four national parks. But if you want to get away to nearby major cities, Bradford is 20 minutes away by train from the city of Leeds and Manchester is only an hour away by train. Student services on campus

The University of Bradford is diverse and inclusive and provides students with many services for support and guidance. For any student who has a question or needs assistance, the MyBradford department will be their first stop. The staff in this department provides information on a wide variety of topics, including where to get extra academic help or how to find your way around the city.  

The Student Life Team is also on hand to support students who are having financial trouble, difficulty settling into college or are learning how to manage a budget. They guide students in many things, even in learning how to cook! There is Disability Support availability for students with mental, sensory and/or physical disabilities and the school’s Counselling Service is a free and confidential service that helps students with their mental and overall well-being. All this and more is available to students at the University of Bradford, making the transition to college life easier for all of its students – local and international.  

Arts and culture

With its own theater, art gallery and music center, the University of Bradford is steeped in a rich culture of art, music and history. The Arts on Campus program has a wide variety of events, screenings, exhibitions and talks listed throughout the year for everyone to enjoy.   

The city of Bradford also has many avenues for its residents to appreciate the arts and culture. The Cartwright Hall Art Gallery showcases beautiful artwork, including the David Hockney Gallery.
