Southern Utah University provides dedicated scholarships to all international students who complete an admissions application. By submitting an application by the stated deadlines, students are automatically considered for these scholarships. There is no separate application or procedure for students to be considered for these financial awards.

Southern Utah University proudly caters to its diverse international student population – the school is home to students from over 56 different countries from all around the world. The university boasts small class sizes that enable students to enjoy close relationships with their professors who are well-positioned to mentor students and advise them on their future plans after university.

The International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) office at SUU is always there to support overseas students throughout their time at university by helping with visa and employment information, among other things. The ISSS organizes international student events to facilitate an easy transition into university life in a new country. The ISSS department ensures that overseas students receive both academic and social support while they are enrolled at Southern Utah University.

There are numerous factors that are considered when the SUU International Student Scholarship Committee evaluates each application: academic merit (GPA), geographic distribution and financial need. Receivers of SUU scholarships usually have at least a 3.0 GPA.

It is important to note that these specific international student scholarships cannot be combined with other SUU tuition scholarships.

Students who are first entering SUU’s English as a Second Language (ESL) programs are also eligible for these international student scholarships, however, payments will not be made until the student begins their full-time undergraduate or graduate program.
