The Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art (HICA) focuses on offering students the best of the art world through exhibitions, lectures, and films. The Liberty Street Fresh Food Company is the new 26,000 square foot dining hall that features six service stations, plasma-screen TVs, lounge seating and even a fireplace. The Marlene and Nathan Addlestone Library is a state-of-the-art, 140,000-square-foot facility that has over one million volumes, a student computer lab, café, and access to more than 40,000 electronic journals. The TD Arena is a 270,000-square-foot sports complex that boasts a 5,000-seat arena, medical facilities, athletics office, an academic support area and a massive hospitality suite.

College of Charleston – Advocating For Diversity And Multiculturalism
College of Charleston is so dedicated to promoting diversity on campus that it even has an official Office of Institutional Diversity (OID) that focuses on creating an inclusive environment on campus while also creating various initiatives aimed at enhancing cultural awareness at the school. The Student Diversity and Inclusion Council fall under the OID umbrella and it aims to promote OID’s values and also act as a bridge between the OID and the students, faculty, and staff on campus.

The Multicultural Student Programs and Services Mentoring Matters program is an on-campus initiative for multicultural freshman students. The College of Charleston also houses a Center for International Education (CIE).
