It's Not Too Late For The 2017 Intake
Are you worried you’ve missed the deadlines to enroll at a university this year? Don’t worry, there are universities still accepting applications!
21 June 2017
The usual rule of thumb is that the earlier you start your university application, the better it is. Most universities usually set deadlines for their September and January intake, which means it’s always a good idea to prepare for the deadlines in advance. If you haven’t sorted your application yet, don’t panic! The good news is that you can still apply to schools, but make sure to give yourself enough time to sort out all your documentation needed for an application.
Documents Needed For An Application
If you want to complete an application, you will need to get certain documents ready as each university requires them. These include
- Passport: with at least 6 months validity from your expected start date.
- IELTS or TOEFL score: to test your English proficiency.
- Academic Transcripts with your previous academic scores.
- Proof of finance: this can be in the form of bank statements.
- A letter of recommendation from your professors/teachers or employers.
It is important to remember that is only when you receive an acceptance letter to a university are you able to start the student visa process, so it’s always better to apply as early as you can!
Which Countries Can I Apply To?
Universities in the US, UK and UAE are still accepting applications, which gives you plenty to options to choose from. Canada, unfortunately, has closed its intake deadlines for this year, but there is always the option to apply for the next January intake. If the prospect of deciding which option is more than a little overwhelming and leaves you plenty confused, we’ve put together a useful list on the schools you can still apply to for the 2017 intake.
*Note: Rolling deadlines means that there is no set date to send your application, as universities can receive applications all year around.
