Moravian College is the sixth oldest college in the United States, dating all the way back to 1742 and has transformed and adapted over the years. Some important things remain unchanged, however, like its dedication to equality on all levels and providing a stellar education to its students.

Moravian is a private, liberal arts college that practices experiential learning and takes great pride in preparing its students for life after college. There are 2,165 students attending the institution and 98% of their graduates begin jobs or graduate school within 6 months. Moravian is nationally ranked in the top 3% for graduate outcomes and they also award over $30 million each year in financial aid.

All students are issued a MacBook Pro laptop and an iPad to facilitate them with their classes and learning. Classroom lectures and resources are conveniently found online, therefore making it easier for professors to focus on their students, class discussion and clarifying points of the lesson. Hands-on, practical learning is emphasized as the best way to prepare students for the professional world.

Moravian College is located in the small town of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in the United States in the beautiful Lehigh Valley. The town was founded 275 years ago and it is a veritable treasure trove of American history. There are a number of cultural sites and museums in Bethlehem and the surrounding areas. Students can participate in Community Heritage Day to find out how Moravian settlers lived and worked or attend one of the many festivals held each year like Musikfest, a free ten-day music festival that attracts people from all over the country. Art galleries, restaurants, bars and clubs are plentiful and students will have no trouble finding something of interest.

The great outdoors also beckons in Bethlehem; hiking and biking are popular activities around the Lehigh Canal and there are many parks where students can enjoy fresh air and greenery.

Moravian College is building the Sally Breidegam Miksiewics Center for Health Sciences; it is due to open in the fall of 2017. The numerous health sciences, nursing and other health-related programs will be held here and students will enjoy state-of-the-art research labs and technology, a health informatics computer lab and a virtual cadaver lab.

The college has also recently opened their new Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center and is already teaching their first Masters of Science in Athletic Training students.

Moravian College has launched a student blog section on their website and it is written for the students, by the students. The blog gives real insight on campus life and attending classes. Students share tips and advice on what to do and how to get around Bethlehem, how to live through finals week, how to excel at your internship and much more.

Throughout their four years at Moravian, students work one-on-one with their advisors for mentoring and guidance. The advisors help students identify future goals and then structure their course-load to reflect these decisions. Resources, programs and practical learning opportunities are provided by the career center on campus. The department also organises jobs fairs, internships and networking events for all its students. Through experiential learning and personal reflection and assessment, Moravian ensures that students are more than just academically ready for their future - they are mentally and emotionally prepared also.
